1) Writing workshops are offered in Poetry, Short story writing or Play writing
2) Author performs own work
3) Enrol on one of the courses Stephanie tutors run by the Office of Lifelong Learning, University of Edinburgh. Currently:
A Sense of Place - visits to venues around Edinburgh as springboards for writing;
Stunning Stories and Powerful Poems, tutored by Stephanie with Mary Gladstone.
Performing your Writing, tutored by Stephanie. Writing and performance skills, including relaxation and voice exercises followed by a performance by the students.

Visits to Secondary Schools
Practical Workshops on poetry writing, particularly suitable for Advanced Highers English Creative Writing component.
As a professional poet Stephanie can help students access their creativity and give practical tips on how to experiment with challenging techniques which extend their range.
As a former English and Drama teacher at secondary level, Stephanie has many years of teaching experience at 6th form level. Prior consultation by teacher is recommended to help Stephanie adapt the workshop most usefully to the class' needs.
Visits to Primary Schools
1) Workshops for Poetry or short stories.
2) Story-telling: Performance by Stephanie leading to workshop on story-telling and writing for the pupils. (For performance of story-telling alone see link.)
3) Shadow Puppet-making session followed by play-writing for performance. Needs 2 different days, consecutive or a week apart. School must provide all materials.
Subjects on offer: Myth and Legends, Tall Tales; the Rain forest; Endangered Species, Shape Poetry or any other subject which fits the curriculum with prior consultation with the teacher.
Ages: 7 and up.
